Just watched NCIS and noticed that they use the D300s on the show.

Singer Chris Brown in a movie I caught this past holiday called "This Christmas"(2007). He played a singer with a knack for photography and sported this D200 in several scenes.

I saw a tv add for "the dilemma" tonight. Vince Vaughn is buying a D7000 at the counter very briefly. according to wikipedia, the principal photography was may 25- august 6 2010. Nice pre release product placement nikon!

That movie sucked. An entire hour goes by of just him and the publisher's daughter walking around and casually talking while supposedly trying to escape alien octupus creatures that are attacking Mexico but are never really seen. You just get glimpses of CGI military tanks and helicopters and alien rubble, yeah WTF! I wanted my money back. Anyway I thought this thread was about NIKON cameras on TV shows, not about Canon 50D and Rebels in cheesy "Monster" movies.

Watched the film "Monsters" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1470827/ last night, made by British writer/director Gareth Edwards on an incredibly low budget of just $15000 (yes that's fifteen thousand not million).
It's a really good film, the main male character is a photojournalist, he uses some type of Canon, maybe a 7D...good film, worth watching.

one of the last episodes of Weeds season 3, a private investigator is shooting with a Nikon F5 i believe.

Watched "The American" last night, not up to much as a film but it was made by photographer Anton Corbjin and is beautifully shot. Clooney pretends to be a photographer, he uses a Nikon but it was too quick for me to recognize, some others have said it was a F6.

Lol segura, i missed that whole part about him being a child stalker. I too agree that Dexter killed him because he was a Canon user. Likely, because he was standing outside his local camera shop bragging about his L lens.

The Dexter baddie was the child stalker, Season 3 Episode 3. The stalker was taking pics of young girls on the beach. Dex broke into his house, and saw he had some pics of Astor on his computer. He wasted no time getting rid of him.

Anyway the stalker had a Canon and a telephoto lens . . . I think Dexter really killed him because of the Canon.

Hi spraynpray, I know a few and from what I can gather it's to do with Canon being first to bring out a body that sports photographers were willing to ditch their film gear for. Since then Nikon caught up, and probably passed, with the D3 series but by that stage many had built up kits and were unwilling to change due to the massive costs of long telephotos.
PS how close was Schumacher to being decapitated by Liuzzi...very lucky !
