Unhappy with current instant rebate for November.
There is no 70-200 rebate. It is a big rebate $400 for pro-lens, but they do not offer this time.

I believe there is a current (starting today) rebate when you buy a D7000 with an additional lens. For my $100 off, I used the coupon code "OCTOBERSAVE", but it expired 10/25.

Congrats! I actually had an order in with Adorama for the body, and then switched to the kit from Calumet with a $100 off coupon code. (I gave Adorama the chance to match the discount, but they couldn't.) I just ordered it last week, and it will be here tomorrow!

There's no way to avoid that feeling every once in a while. Just get the camera you need as long as you can afford it.

Actually I ordered the kit first but after reading the lens review on Ken Rockwell's site I decided to go with just the body only. Either way though it is a Pre-Order. Which means that everyone that pre-ordered should get their stuff FIRST in the whole customer service, brand support scheme of things. Actually what I REALLY want is the full-frame camera, but the D700 even at a discount is still $2400. A grand is easier to swing than two or three. The deal is really what improvements are going to be made between now and then and are they going to be substantive to support the purchase. I like the performance of the D700 but ultimately don't want that damn I should've waited feeling.

You ordered two weeks after the pre-order came out and you're that impatient? You're also willing to wait possibly another whole year for a full frame to come out? You are being ridiculous.

I also ordered a body only D7000 from B and H, and mine just shipped.

I am getting sick of waiting on mine. I'm seriously thinking of getting a D700 or waiting for the new full frame. I ordered my body only on 2010-09-29.

I've been told late october, early november (you might have heard it from me) but I called this morning and they told me it's pretty much going to be November 15th now...

so yeah.. I'm gonna wait a bit more..

I doubt this "delay" has anything to do with Nikon fixing the pixel "problem" Canadian retailers have been saying a late October early november release date from the beginning.

Enjoy it bpetrojo. I'm actually hoping that this "void" in delivery involves Nikon doing something about that pixel issue several people are having so that when B&H finally delivers, things are better.

I like many ordered the Nikon D7000 body only on 9-19-2010 with B&H photo all I keep seeing on the status was back ordered and as everyone knows they charge your credit card upon ordering. Friday 10/22/2010 I was surfing the web and find an online retailer in San Francisco (I am in the East Bay Area) that says they have the camera and it could ship in 6 to 10 days so I call. they say they have none in stock but give the name of another local (small) camera retailer in the City (Fireside Camera's) I call and they have 1 Nikon D7000 Kit package in stock, I ask them to hold it that I was on my way and sure enough I was able to pick it op on Friday. This morning after the canceled order with B&H the person answering the phone who was very nice said they do not have any and were now posting "not Available" and were not sure when they would be shipping back orders.
