I heart (x3) my Nikon D3100! I miss my trusty old D40x but sadly, it has gone to DSLR heaven. I under estimated the D3100, I've shun out basic level DSLR's because I'm looking at D400 & Digital35s. Now, I realise how valuable it is having a small, light DSLR with amazing High ISO performance! Kudos Nikon!

Well if I were in the market for a cheap DSLR, the 3100 would be at the top of my list.

Just back from Crete on vacation with my new D3100 and love it. DSLR is so much better for photos with the kids. Using two lenses, 18 - 200 and the 35mm 1.8. Do not yet love the 35mm but am working on it.

I got a "complaint" that I didn't start threads for the D3100. So all of you D3100 owners use this thread to discuss your new camera and share your D3100 specific questions and photos.

One of the things I've noticed with the D3100 is that Nikon is using a "stickier" rubber material. Has anyone else noticed this on their D3100?
