Here are few of my images. These were sharpened in aperture. I should have just upload it as is. I think one or two of the toy images were straight from the camera. I could be wrong but I did do some work on most of them.

I know what you mean there. On my D40 there was almost a solid "click" for each press of the shutter button. I thought it would be an issue at first, but I had to remind myself again of the difference after a few days shooting with the D7000! =)

You know, I have read several threads on dpreview about how this camera isn't sharp. I've taken about 1000 shots tons of which are super sharp. The first day, I had some trouble with snapping the photo at the right focus on a moving subject, but have since gotten used to the more sensitive shutter release button.

I'm having trouble learning how to upload photos even with the sticky tutorial at the top of the forum...

This was taken with the 35mm @1.8, 1/200th sec, auto ISO chose 1250, auto white balance & matrix metering

I would fix the apparent barrel distortion in PS, unless that is the look you're going for.

Nice! I'm about 30 minutes away from Sandy Hook, although I too was thinking of moving to Florida along the treasure coast. Here's another shot from the same day that I finished editing a while ago...

What lens did you use?

@padlock Great shot. That B&W shot reminds me of my darkroom days. I plan on testing B&W in camera JPEG VS Raw B&W. I think B&W will be the primary way I'll print. When I get the camera body delivered, hear me Nikon. ;-)

the d7000 def has better high iso than the d300s. it will be interesting to see the new top of the line models!

Black and white effect applied in-camera. No other post processing. Kit 18-105mm lens used.
