Sorry, full resolution - in DX mode, it would've cropped most of the picture out. . .

up close wide open yes. but as you increase the subject distance you start to get extreme dark corners (no post processing other than crop will fix). This lens has DX slapped on for a reason.

Ya, I love using this lens on my F5. I tried it one day to just test it out and it worked very well.

Quite usable. I'll need to see if I scanned any of the film I shot with the 55-200. @ 200 at first blush the vignetting is even less.

Here are the random samples I took - pretty useable IMO:

Both the 18-55 (VR and non-VR) are also usable for FX from around 24mm and above, giving us a cheap and light 24mm zoom.

Yes, I've heard more than once that the 35mm 1.8 is actually usable on FX, but I haven't seen any photos with that.

This sucker not ONLY works on DX, but it's a freakin' CHAMP on my D3.

WTF, I know there have been casual reports out there, but I was totally amazed.

Yes vignetting in corners, but to be honest, I add that in virtually all my pics to clients when I'm shooting wide open with a fast prime.

Any one have similar experiences?

I'll post pics when I get home. . .
