It's a real change, mishima. You missed the vote about whether to change the forum (it wasn't even close).

hello guys.

Its been a while since i logged in to nikon rumors but it seems to me that the mainpage had changed from (Black to White) background? Is this supposely a cosmetic makeup or theres something wrong with my browser? Coz the blending looks odd and I thought i've landed on Canonrumors in the first place.

Thanks guys =)

Yes my browsers do have ad blockers but I still found some malware on one of my PCs but I can't say 100% it was from this site as it could have easily been from somewhere else I visited recently.

Anyway we've got a clean bill of health now.

Do the people who have had issues have ad blockers on their browsers? And is the add blocker set to not just suppress showing them, but not even down load them?

I haven't had any issues at all from any machine during all of this, so I'm suspicious it may have been piggy backing on an ad.

If it's not just this one, that points to something intentional. Someone that's going to plant something on a specific site (versus just a server and hope for the best) is going to go toward something that's trending up... with Photokina coming, it'd make sense, as I'm sure the other rumor and photo sites are having an uptick in traffic the same as this one.

Not sure if it's some kind of "attack" but apparently there are other photography related sites that are also being blocked/black listed by google for this same "malware".

I am not sure how the malware got on nikonrumors.com, but this type of attacks were described as typical for my host, which means that I will be moving to a new hosting company next week. I am taking this very seriously and will not take any chances. I already found a good dedicated server package, I have to go through the paper work and I will be ready to go. NikonRumors.com may be down again for few hours next week until I transfer everything over. I will let you know in advance.
I am basically now waiting for Google bots to scan NR again and lift the security alert.

Norton. The browser add-on's the one that comes with the software; it shows the status of the site when you're on it, and generally warns you about the ones it considers unsafe.

Apparently this site is having some trouble with being listed as a "malware" site and is getting " black listed". My PCs can't access this site at all. I'm posting through my Mac but now I'm getting a warning message on my Mac too. Just letting you guys know, in cases you haven't read the main blog page that the problem is getting worked on.

Please list any problems with the forum you might have encountered recently.
