I sold my 50 1.2 AI-S for $350.
PS thank you, Niko, for knowing that 5cm=50mm. Why oh why doesn't our country go metric and end the madness?

Somewhere on the lens should be the actual mm of the lens. It's hard to say anything about the lens because you haven't listed possibly the most important peice of information, hah.

Chances are though that it is really not worth much, as it's probably just a standard lens. The old 50mm f 1.4's are great ultra fast lenses, but they aren't worth anything.

if you take a picture of it or just find out the mm of the lens, anyone could give you more information though.

What about the 50mm 1.2 then? How much are they worth?

It's the original 50mm (aka 5cm) f2 that came with the original Nikon F camera. Back then focal lengths were given in cm. The serial number would seem to indicate the lens is from around the early 1960s. Nikon also made 5cm f2 rangefinder lenses which are rarer and more expensive but they are not Fmount. Hard to say what yours is worth without seeing the condition but they usually go for around $100-200 dollars depending on the condition. You can mount this to some of the newer camera bodies.

I recently received an old manual nikkor lens, and cannot find out its age or value, it apparently is fully manual, contained in a hard plastic 2 part case, the bottom is black plastic on which the lens screws down on and the top is a clear hard plastic dome.

The lens reads as follows around the top glass:Nikkor-S Auto 1:2 f=5cm Nippon Kogaku Japan No.565135, the shutter leafs are in excellent conditon, except for 1 which has a small spot, I cannot determine if dirt or rust, about the size of a pin head. f stops go from f2 to f16, focusing from 3ft to infinity listed as 3,3.5,4,5,7,10,15,30,finally an infinity sign.

Any ideas how old, any value, will it safely fit, if at all on current digitals?
thanks for any info.
