Maybe, there was post on the main page a few weeks/months back about a patient for an AF-S 50mm F1.2, IIRC.

The D70, D70S, D50, D40, D40X, D60, D80, D5000, D3000, D300, etc. etc. are great cameras too. And there's nothing wrong in having only the 18-55 kit lens or buying the 18-200. There really isn't a "magical" one camera, one lens combination.

Although, yes, the D90 with 35mm f1.8 does come close to riding off into the sunset with a Unicorn :^)

D5000 is pretty damn nice. But only the flip screen makes it appealing for me.
