oooops! that was the MSRP for the f4-5.6. Nevermind. wonder what the MSRP will be for the f3.5. Probably still lower than the Nikon 10-24mm

oh - duh, I see that the new sigma f3.5 MSRP is to be $740. i wonder what street will be, and how that will impact the street price of the f4-5.6. If it pushes it low enough, I can see Sigma deciding not to bother to produce the lens at all anymore.

I noticed, along with another poster below, that the Sigma 10-20mm is a bit more scarce nowadays, which strikes me as odd since I would have thought people would be flocking to the new Nikon 10-24mm DX. Do you think Sigma is phasing this lens out to clear the way for their new 10-20mm f3.5? I sincerely hope not - I was hoping they would keep both lenses in productions, the f4-5.6 for the poor man (me), and the f3.5 for the rich man. But I can see how they might want to force everyone up to the f3.5, especially if it ends up pricing under Nikon 10-24mm, which i am guessing it will.
