Yes it was called (e)film and it was pretty much just vaporware. I don't think it ever actually became a real product.

I might just have to look for a Broken FG or something and get my dremmel tool ready.

BTW this is not a interchangeable lens camera anymore, the focal length would not match the P&S camera, I'm sure that the lens is gutted and the camera zooms inside and shoots out a filter at the end

I think it is 'fun' and something to do with nearly worthless film cameras and P&S's, then at the end you could always call it a 'pointless and shoot'..... :-)

I think this thing is fun !! There are tons of broken film cameras out there. Converting these could be great fun as you can use the SLR lenses.

I wouldn't do it either unless I had a surefire way of being able to return to film at whim. This seems like a one way trip to digital with a point and shoot's guts stuck into a film camera.

I don't even think the shutter speeds work anymore.

I would prefer something like a digital back- something I could swap in and out. It wouldn't have an LCD, so you need to bring it home to "develop it".

Then if I want, I could put in a film back and shoot normally again.

Chris, that's why I said "if you don't shoot film." I wouldn't want to put a P&S in that body either, I'd graft in a Xsi or T2i and use FD lenses.

Not interested one bit. Especially since it is no longer an SLR. The focusing screen is useless, the mirror is useless, interchangeable lenses are useless due to excessive crop factor, so it would only serve as an appearance thing (which is stupid), and I'm not about to destroy a perfectly good film camera that would otherwise deliver perfectly good rolls of film back to me.

because the ergonomics of a film body are designed around film. The advance lever becomes extraneous, as do most of the other functions, and it just looks ugly.
