my god, ick . . .might as well be a graphics artist, it's all so plastic and fake. . .pass. . .

I use PS sparingly, my clients don't like it, nor do I. . .a little B&W, an antique filter, but that's about it. . .

Yes I agree another cool topic by Pete!^^ Nikodoby bang on again it seems most images today are just really really good CGI. With all the great gear available on the market, anyone can take a nice pleasing shot. Its harder and harder to stand out now. Nobody wants to see nice landscapes or "the perfect sunset" anymore. It has to be a shot inside an oven looking out towards the kitchen or some crazy angle like that. Super photoshot jobs, or some new spin off to photography. Surfing photography seems to be doing really well recently in particular.

I like those pictures, too, Pete. They remind me of Norman Rockwell, and he shot his subjects extensively in photographs before he ever started painting his covers. I'm sure Norman Rockwell would have been a photoshop guru with a huge tablet or pressure-sensitive screen.

Pete, you and Niko must start about half the threads on this forum. Thanks to both of you for all the interesting links/questions/info you guys post. I can't see the site on my iPod. It must be flash. Curse you, Mr. Jobs!

I might add my numbers would have been a bit higher if you included the things that Niko moderated, just kidding Niko, without you who knows how crazy things could have been here

Yes Canon should do it and if you use their kit lens then you would have both noise and soft images, kind of dreamy pictures ;~)

Pete

Thanks Jonny somebody have to do it, I think it's getting to be your turn

Yeah it's flash.

I don't like this guy of stuff but this guy is good at it, some of his pics were interesting. I'm more into NOOOOOISE, maybe I should switch to canon then.

You'd be surprised by how many photos are actually computer generated images and not even photoshopped "originals". Most car ads aren't even real cars but are actually CGI models.

This is what people/companies want. Nowadays "anyone" can take a "nice" picture of people and objects. You have to make your work stand out. George was one of the first to use the "Lucas Art" technique many years ago.

Very well done and creative but like Clillja and NSXType-R its not my taste either. It looks a little too "cartoon-ish" or similar to the movie "300". The images start to look painted and get away from an image made with a camera I think. George Fulton definately seems like a pro at photoshop, but I have always been a fan of work where you can't see the photoshop in the image. Nothing should distract you when you looking at the final product I think.

His style is definitely different. It looks like a pseudo-HDR to me. Nice work, but it's not my preference either.

I really liked them too. But it's not my style. But again, I thought those were creative and clever.

Been working (professionally) with Photoshop for a decade now. Still have lots and lots to learn....

I honestly envy people that can perform magic on Photoshop, I can do some but surely at the best a dabbler

I honestly like pictures that have been photoshopped, even if they start looking a bit plastic and not real any more, something like on this link:

http://www.georgefulton.com/

What do you think, and how did you learn to photoshop
