Shooting 3D stills is fantastic fun The fuji w3 is a brilliant little camera and I understand the w1 was crap but it has been improved massively. But don't think it's easy to get a brilliant 3D still shot. It takes some knowledge of the techniques and plenty of practice.
At the broadcasting Expo in London recently the key note speaker proclaimed that this time 3D is hear to stay. There will be loads of off air broadcasts and all the tv manufacturers are going full on into it. Forget rubbish like Pirates 4 and see the verner hertzog film about the caves in France. See the MSF 3D stills AV shot on the fuji w3 made by Duckrabbit production company London england New 3D projectors work with passive glasses and will come down in price.

City of London and Cripplegate photo society are planning a 3D still event in London this summer so if anyone has some great 3D still get in touch to be included.

I have physically touched it and tooks some pictures with it. It seems great to me ! Granted I didnt pixel peep and run through tests in various light conditions and ISO. Still I think the concept is really great. Its great to have a whole process and infrastructure around taking, printing and viewing 3D. I hope it takes off.

The Fujifilm camera already does 3D Stills AND Video. Had a play with it .. The LCD at the back is 3D so you can view the images and video shot played back in 3D. You can also get a 3D photo frame thingi that you can use to watch your 3D stills and video. of course you can also print your stills and put them in a "real" album. The printed stills are 3D.

Looked very promising.

Not me. If I shoot 3d stills it's just for fun and 3d video would be the same way.

The gadget blogs have been a flutter ever since CES with news about 3d Televisions going main stream... and even the gear heads don't seem very excited about it. Nevertheless, its coming.

I figure its only a matter of time before Sony\Nikon\Canon start getting into the 3d game. Just curious if any of you folk would be into shooting 3d if consumer level gear were available for it (stills or video).
