What I was more getting at was an EVIL that shoots like a rangefinder. You can have an an electric "viewfinder" in addition to the screen on the back... Many people I know have a distaste for the Evil because you need to hold it 3 feet from you to take a picture. Electric in an eyepiece as an addition would solve that problem...

Plus as stated above the shooting experience with a rangefinder is close to "magical". Rangefinders never are threatening cameras because of their size and design. With many of the EVIL cameras you've lost your shot by the time you compose it because it is not a small intimate motion, you have the throw your arms way out there, and as a street photographer who learned the hard way...

If you have ever shot with a Leica rangefinder you will be blown away. Its such an enjoyable form of photography I even enjoyed using the M8 even though it had numerous problems fixed on the M9. I'd be very interested in a Nikon Evil camera. Nikon made some awsome rangefinders before to obviously.

The greatest thing about rangefinders is the optical focus control, and not every optical viewfinder has it. Not so easy to explain by words so here is the image:

EVIL cameras of course has nothing to do with it.

An evil camera is not necessarily a rangefinder. Rangefinder cameras are about that little window you compose through (and perhaps focus with). It never goes dark during exposure. That's one of the critical aspects of a rangefinder.

Considering the value of the rangefinders, I would think it would be a wise move If nikon came out with a EVIL camera that was reminiscent of the styling and layout of one of these... Although one with the layout of the p6000 wouldn't be bad...
