Used to only shoot nature, and hated portraits. Now, I enjoy nature but have found a new interest in shooting people. It's mostly what I do now, but I'll also do some random stuff once in a while.

I have taken a few BMX pictures, I like to play with light, flashes, strobes etc

This is what I tell my wife every time she wants a posed family shot of us. I would rather have shots of my kids doing whatever they want to do than impatiently sitting for their portrait. I have no problem posing other people for pictures—it's just my own kids that I don't enjoy posing, maybe because I know them so well and just want to remember them running free.

Things I enjoy photographing:

Nature...everything from flowers to trees, bugs to large animals, the moon and sunsets....etc

Water...hence my weird shots with water drops.

Light and reflections...I don't really know why, but I always tend to get shots that have a light source in them.

Candid People...always seems to be much more natural.

Things I don't enjoy:

Wedding photography...although I will do it for family and close friends.

Posed People...I find many shots featuring people to be too staged for my taste.

Sports and Action....although capturing a great shot can be like poetry in motion frozen in time.

Cityscapes...but if I see a nice shot, I'll take it. Don't get me wrong, mankind has created some humbling structures...it just is a bit too artificial. Regulator75 on a "regular" basis often makes me rethink this one though. :)

I like a little bit of everything, but of late, I'm looking towards creating art with strobes, gels, and beautiful women.

People, mainly, but really most anything. I like abstract stuff, too. Pictures that make me laugh are rare, but I probably love those most.

Airplanes !!!!!!!!!

I like shooting anything available to me, but am now mostly doing landscapes, street and macro (I love my yard and local gardens). I've previously done a lot of portraiture and some nudes, but never had the fast long lenses for sports and birds.

As to my interest in photography, it was varied over the years. I spent quite a bit of time shooting Motorsports, mostly Motorcycle racing, I did the wedding gig for a few years. And shot commercial industrial photography in Detroit for a while.. Now that I am retired I get to do pretty much whatever catches my attention of late..

Festival time, I have spent quite a bit of time around Barcelona, and the Catalan region,over the years. I used to work for SEAT in BCN back in the 90's... My first Spanish Festival was in Capcanes a bit South of BCN, near Reus, for a Barbi's Festival, truley people that know how to enjoy themselves and paly with fireworks !!!

Haha, I'm the anti-kbanes, I'm interested in everything BUT sports! I love nature and landscape, but am also interested in portraits and street photography, and I love my macro!

Historically, I've gravitated to nature photography, but lately, I've been doing more event and portraiture.

Flowers, nature, animals, and travel.

portraits here and there.

Just whatever challenges me to become a better photographer.

What do you like to shoot?

I'm into automotive and street photography.

I really like cars, and for some odd reason I like old architecture too. I think documenting the way a city changes over a long time through photography is really fun. Plus, it's cool to see what is left over from earlier eras.

I'd like to go into taking pictures of people, but it's way harder, I find. First of all, people move. Second of all, they may not approve of it, and it's hard to get the lighting right. Any tips on that stuff?
