Sorry I don't understand what this is C:\Users\(yourLogin)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

is that a spot to save the presets in once they are unpacked from .rar files? and if so I don't have the Roaming option it seems.

Hi,

Wow I knew I was not going crazy! So the problem is had by others as well then. I am running Windows Vista 64 bit. The presets are nothing special just something I wanted to see for myself. I can see them individually, but not as a list so you have to keep loading them for each Raw file in 5.0. Maybe I should just use other presets? Thanks so far guys!

kanuck - What OS are you using and version of PS?

I just tried it on 32 and 64bit on Windows 7 w/ CR 5.6. I can load them just like on the Mac, but they don't appear in list form.

If we're doing it wrong this seems overly complicated.

I don't really have interest in these profiles. but I gave it a shot to see if I could duplicate your problem.

I'm running Camera Raw 5.4 / 64bit CS4 on 10.6 OSX right now and I could only load one profile at a time. If I chose another one it would load the profile, but not into the list. Which is what I think is happening to you also.

I couldn't find any other *.xpm files to drop them somewhere in the Adobe directory either.

Do you mean Camera Raw 5.0?

Hmm, reading through the comments section of that website it seems you are not alone in your problem kanuck. Unless you also asked for help there too?

"Matt, thanks for the pre-sets. I'm having trouble loading them into ACR. I'm using Windows Vista. In the ACR Camera Calibration tad, I clicked load settings, navigates to the decompressed files...it looks like I have to choose one at a time. It says open. I click open but then it doesn't show up inthe preset menu. I must be missing something. Any suggestions?"

Loading the presets should be fairly easy. However I've never used the particular set you are trying to use. I can't think of what else to suggest other than to email the developer and ask him for help.

Are you running a windows 7 machine?

I followed the directions completely, but when I open an image in Real Raw 5.0 and then try to use the presets they don't appear as being listed at all. However, if I am working with an image in Real Raw, I am able to use just one loaded preset for that image. It can be saved but I can't use more than one loaded preset at a time. According to the source where I got the D700 presets, you should be able to load all 10 and then see them as your presets for any image....

All the files are .xmp and I was able to extract the .rar files. I just can't put them into photoshop for some reason.

Well you are actually loading these presets into Adobe Camera Raw, not photoshop. The instructions are pretty straight forward I think. Are you extracting the .rar file? What is the abbreviation on the file you are trying to install? Is it .xmp, .psd, or .dng?

Hi, they are ACR-Photoshop/Bridge presets that are .xmp files.

This has the files : http://www.widen.com/blogs/downloads/D700_Settings.zip

This was the website I found them under : http://blog.widen.com/blog/industrial-retouch-and-color/0/0/raw-presets-for-photoshop-cs4-lightroom-canon-5d-mark-ii-nikon-d3-nikon-d300

The downloads are available at the bottom of this website.

Does this help?

Hi,

I am having trouble adding my downloaded D700 presets into CS4 photoshop extended. For example one downloaded file once extracting the .rar file is called D700 Landscape. Its already a photoshop file but I can't seem to load them into CS4. I have 10 of these presets that I want to put into CS4. Does anyone know how I can do this? Frustrated to say the least! Thanks :)
