The Canon SD90 is around $400, although it can be had for less. But yeah, this is a bit too expensive.

It's going in the right direction but I think it's waay too expensive for what it is. Especially since it doesn't even have HD video. Image quality has to be spectacular in order to do well against new cameras from Sony, Panasonic and canon.

The new announced Samsung TL500/EX1 is actually a great looking camera with a larger 10MP sensor and fast high quality zoom. If Nikon made a similar Camera they would have a great P6000 replacement
