Being a borrower I'll only state what I fully 100% own and regularly shoot with.

D90 with grip (amazing camera but small image size and lousy frame buffer which is why I'll be degrading this to backup in a month or two)
D80 (good backup)
10.5mm f/2.8 (I liked it better than the zooms)
18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 (I plan to replace this one soon with the 17-35mm f2.8)
50mm f/1.8 (amazing little lens
50mm macro f/3.5 (minolta lens with an adapter to nikon f mount)
55mm micro f/2.8 (love it)
80-200mm f/2.8 (age old but a favorite)

sometimes a 300mm Canon f mount f/4 makes it into my bag with an adapter for nikon
There is a lot of other equipment that I own but don't use usually due to the f stop or because it is another system.

As for above it looks like a D200

That's not a D100, the D100 had the slot in the shutter button for a wired shutter release, and the D100 had the consumer like mode dial. Looks like a D200 to me.

Henry Nikon Fan said:
This post has generated quite a bit of comments from people with all types of equipment. Also most people here own several lenses that they use. My wife has always been satisfied with one lens and has always questioned the need for multiple lenses that I have. I have tried to explain to her that different types of situations will require different types of lenses.

She has said the same thing to me about all of my tools that I have in the garage and I have used the same explanation to her.

She has concluded that this just must be a guy thing and then I questioned her on how many pairs of shoes and how many purses she has. She says it is not the same thing.

In June we will be married for 33 years so what can I say!

7 years for me this year, and we have the same conversations. It's nice to get that little window to the future. I'm not sure why I thought one of us would somehow change between now and then!

Niko, I like that you're rockin' the D100 like the old schooler that you are. ;-) Seriously, I have to say I don't miss that camera. It was fun while it lasted, though.

I own all the latest stuff, I'd tell you what the model numbers are, but they are all taped up (per Nikon's request and subject to the terms of the NDA), and I'm to much of a hot shot to care anyway.

I own every lens imaginable, but prefer to do most of my shooting with disposable film cameras or point and shoots because "It gets me closer to the person".

I shoot RealRaw (tm) on a digital camera.

I had my D3x modded to shoot IR.

I make HD feature films.

...erm... scratch all that. I do most of my shooting with my trusty D40 and a 35mm f1.8. Everything else is usually in my sweet baby's camera bag (which means hands off for me lol).

Hey ShadeofBlue I could have sold you my Tokina 11-16mm! :) Its a wonderful lens, but I went fullframe so I used to trade for a new 14-24mm last November. Again nothing but good things to say about the 11-16. I used it with the D300 body (traded in for D700) I had at the time. It has such a small zoom range it does seem to feel like a wide angle prime though...

Ok I'll play along. . . .

By night/weekend, I'm an enthusiast/Semi-Pro. .I'm just entering the "scene", which is pretty stout in the NYC area. . .second shooter at a couple weddings, did some small community events, but really trying to work on selling the landscape photos and get into local portraiture. . .

Bodies,
D200 and N75

Nikon lens,
17-55 2.8
50 1.4G
60 2.8 micro
35 1.8G
24 2.8 AFD
35-70 2.8 AFD
18-55 VR
55-200 VR
Tokina lens,
11-16 2.8

Nikon flash,
SB900, SB400

Next,
70-200 VR2 (because renting them for events and barely breaking even is stupid) or a D700s. . .not sure which, but hoping that I'll make the right choice next February 2011 when I'll have funds good to go. . .would sell the D200, which would mean I'd get rid of the 17-55 and 11-16 DX lenses (35 1.8G works nicely on FX bodies apparently), but would have to fill a large gap (16-35/4 might work well in that manner). . .

Hello,

I own a D700, and I'd called myself a hobbyist although I shoot about two weddings per month, I contribute photos for a local ex-pat magazine here in South Korea, and I am part of an ongoing BMW photoshoot project in Seoul right now. I only consider people semi-professional or professional if they receive 100% of their income from photography.

I have a:

W/MB-D10
TC 1.7
Lee Filter holder, warm, ND, GND filters.
MC-30 Cable Release
Hoodman Loupe
Speedlight SB-600
National Geographic Backpack, Lowe Pro Slinger.

Glass: 70-200mm VR I
28-80mm G
105mm AIS
50mm 1.4D
35mm F2 ZF Carl Zeiss
28mm 2.8 AIS
14-24mm ED

Gitzo Traveller Carbon Fiber Tripod
Markins M10 Ballhead

Everything is actually paid for now, and this collection took me about 20 months to accumulate.^^ I have been waiting for the D700x so I have to start saving again....

Lenses: 24-70, 50 1.4, 70-200 VRII

Living and travelling in SEAsia, I decided that taking up photography was the right thing to do. I had the d300 but found that it just didn't handle the low light situations well enough for me. After reading about the d3s and when I found out that it was $1000 less here than in the US, I bit! It is awesome, and the heaviness and not a problem with me. I actually like that feel.
