The Audi TDI (Turbo Direct Injection) green diesel. I only remember because I have been driving a VW TDI for 10 years and still get around 50 mpg on a daily basis. The new Audis, with the common rail injection, are pretty amazing motors.

That's the delima really... They were using Kate to market coolpix cameras, which are mostly marketed toward women. Of course the ad wouldn't have been very effective if she'd been holding a giant D3x w/ a SB 900 mounted on it.

Montoya never won an F1 championship. He was an F3000 and CART champ in 1998 and 1999. Since then he's not had as great of a career has had been hoped. He struggled in F1 (3wins in 6 years). That's why he left Mclaren and followed the big $$$ to NASCAR. He has struggled in NASCAR too because he's use to driving light, open wheel cars with great handling. Driving a big sluggish COT in NASCAR is a whole different deal.

Last year he did show some improvement but he's got a lot more to catch up to. Montoya ended up in NASCAR because of who he knows (Chip Ganassi), not because of his driving or wins. At least he has proven he can win races. Danica got lucky once and won. (Yes it was luck because the cars in front of her all ran out of fuel just as the race was finishing)

Nikon had supermodel Kate Moss as a "real" spokesmodel. The tag line was "Stunning Nikon". She even posed naked holding a Nikon. Sex marketing for Nikon then was a total failure and they quickly stopped using her in ads.

No. I'd rather see Nikon at the Olympics. While Ms. Patrick has not won many races, just finishing requires skill and stamina. I don't think a Go-Daddy approach would be any better than Ashton, although Danica is more my type.

I gotta differ with you on that one, her racing talent is incredible. That's like saying Juan Montoya is all hype because he only has one win in NASCAR and he's an F1 Champ.

Also, the number one marketing tool is sex. Although there are many wonderful female photographers that use DSLRs, I'd say over 90% of DSLR photographers are male and over 90% of these male photographers find nothing of interest in Kutcher.

I was hopeful Danica would become an amazing race car driver when I first saw her drive in the Toyota Atlantic Series (early 2003). But in all of her racing career she has only won 1 race! She is more hype than anything. I've grown tired of her using her body to get attention because she can't win any races. Her godaddy commercials are really annoying too! So NO I would NOT want her taking over for Ashton!

In my mind, the main purpose of the superbowl is to put your name out there to a broad audience that might not be familiar with your product (Think Apple's 1984 ad). If you can capture your audience's attention well enough to steer them to your product page to learn more, then your probably going to do well. Otherwise, you've got to be selling something that's being consumed at the moment (Beer & Soda) this helps cement the relationship between football and consumption of said product.

Nikon already has pretty good brand recognition and doesn't really have a product to launch at the moment, so I'm not sure what good a super bowl add would be.

My favorites? Probably the Home Away (Chevy Chase\Family vacation spot) and the FloTV add (man suffering from spinelessness syndrome). The only other add I remember watching was the weird eco-police add, but of course I can't remember which car it was for.

I dont know if it was just me, But at the end where the media was crowding around the coach. i saw a Majority of them with nikon bodies with nikon glass.( 14-24, 24-70). Is nikon taking over football? Because ive always use to noticed canons white telephotos all the time.

Bmx- I feel that nikon should of promoted their DSLR line. Ive only seen once where they mentioned a higher end dslr and it was the new D300s. I feel canons dslr commercials are way more appealing then nikons.

Nikon had an ad/sponsorship deal with major league baseball a few years back. Or did I dream that?

I would have liked to have seen an ads were our Nikon body Ashton Kutcher is getting close to the action of a Football game and gets run over by a huge linebacker, he gets hauled away on a stretcher but the camera is OK
