It's actually named the Cosina/Voitgtlaender Bessa III. Both were shown as prototypes back at PMA 2008. The Bessa III went into production late last year I believe and Fuji is bringing the GF670 out now after some production delays.

Not new at all, it's the same camera as the Voitlander Bessa 667, just marketed under the Fuji name as it is in Japan.

Film medium format is not way expensive, brand new cameras will cost about the same as a mid-high-end DSLR. It all comes down to the process you enjoy.

That's pretty cool. Medium format is way expensive, digital or analog, so I don't see such a bad thing for unveiling this.

True but there are still working pros who do shoot film quite often. I'm not saying this camera is going to be a best seller for Fuji but by making this camera they are telling the world that they are a "real" camera company and film is still in their heart and soul. That puts a little gold star next to them in my book :^)

I'm not saying shooting film is bad, I still have mine around, I just don't shoot with it often, and I wouldn't pay that much for a new one.

Hey Nikon sells the F6 for the "same" price and it's "just" 35mm. I commend Fuji for making this camera smack in the middle of the digital age. I'd love to buy one.

Yes a medium format rangefinder and get this it only shoots film (120 and 220)!
It was just announced for PMA by Fuji. They had shown a prototype mock-up before but now they will show off the real retail version. Wow I'm tempted.
