This flash originally was going to be released as the AlienBees Max, but it fell through (see here: http://jerrycentral.com/2009/04/29/new-alien-bees-ab-max-on-the-horizon/ )

They wound up pulling it at the last second because of QA concerns.

The einstein is effectively the same product, except that it will still require a pure sine wave inverter to power remotely.

I've had my eye on these for a while, there was a whole big drama getting these things to market, but after around a year of delays, they are finally here :)

Of course we got to this point last June and then everything fell apart.
