Carry-on has been my method, except for tripods and monopods—I put those in the luggage.

Oh, and there was the battery confusion. One year extra lithium batteries were only allowed in luggage and then the next they were only allowed in carry-on! I prefer carry-on actually, so I'm happy :^)

I always try to do it in my carry on. No problems so far, but I only ever travel with my D40.

If you don't like your bags being out of your sight and it makes you uncomfortable to think that airline workers are rifling through your stuff, you can take advantage of the TSA's own security rules by—eek—packing a gun.

It's a pretty funny article, but seems logical to me ;^)

For those of you who travel, how do you pack your stuff?
