UPDATE:

Everything went as planned, my D300 performed flawlessly, nobody tripped over my camera, plus I was able to catch quite an interesting moment (coincidentally of course). Thanks for the help everyone! :^D

No, I'm not after a self-portrait. It's a) the other people who are participating and b) we're in bad need of photos anyway because I'm like the only person who actually brings a camera (OK, not true, but nobody's been shooting recently which is getting on my nerves). But my wedding is definitely going to be interesting :^D

Yes, I refuse to use the new one. I still keep the original iMove. But it's still slower that just opening something in QuickTime—it converts it to Apple Intermediate Codec or something like that...

For some things, I guess I'm thinking of iMovie 07 or earlier, which had many editing tools, vs 08 and later which are a waste of time to use.

Quick edits means taking a 30s piece of footage and making it 25s.

I still say you should do the super clamp time-lapse with a good soundtrack. All the girls will love you.
