When I'm out taking pictures then the nature is my music.

At my PC I usually always have something playing. Right now i'm listening to 15 Years of Metalheadz, before my Winamp was tuned to 3WK Classic Underground Radio (Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Yardbirds, Iron Butterfly, Animals, etc. etc.), before that to LoungeRadio.com and before that it was a lot of jazz .. so basically I listen to what I feel like at the moment :D

Alright, I'm feeling all serious right now so I guess I'll give this an honest and serious reply. When I'm out shooting sometimes I do listen to music. If I am working with a model or group it helps to have music. It relaxes everyone and you get better pictures. Sometimes I even start singing...well ok I don't take it that far but music does help.

In the "darkroom" I have to have some kind of music. I love using Pandora.com. I type in the type of music I want to hear and the site automatically compiles similar tunes. It's great for discovering new music that I normally wouldn't have known about or listened too.

I like to listening to a great deal of variety. From classical to world music and everything in between.

Right now I am listening to the Black Angles

Nothing while shooting. I need to have my ears fine tuned to my environment as I find about 60% of the birds I shoot by ear alone.

When processing, I have mixmeister on my computer and usually play one of my Eurodance mixes. I'm stuck in that era. You Europeans may know what I'm talking about; Dj Bobo (older stuff), E-Type, Masterboy etc.

I saw BT last april, and Deadmau5 over the summer in Finland. My brother actually worked with BT for the better part of a year, so I have a pretty close connection to him.

Gartner is awesome, check out Wolfgang's 5th Symphony, Wild Candy, and his remix of MSTRKRFT's Heartbreaker (I really don't like MSTRKRFT, but I love that remix)

By Ma Fleur do you mean the Cinematic Orchestra album? That's a great record...I'm also a big fan of A&B, new Anjunadeep 02 comp. is coming out soon too :)

Nothing with English or Spanish lyrics while I'm working. Any other words I wouldn't understand so they wouldn't distract me. ;)

I'd have to agree with you on this one soap, I don't need anymore distractions than what I already produce (in my head).

Chris, great list! I've seen BT & Deadmau5 locally, but I'll have to check out Wolfgang Gartner, as he is a local Texas guy and I don't live too far from Austin.

Currently on the Ipod is Ma Fleur (mellow) and then off to Above & Beyond (trance), Menno de Jong (trance) and whatever else I can mix in.

Usually I listen to a lot of house, trance, and drum and bass music, lots of electronic stuff, but also a lot of alt. rock and more band oriented stuff. Some favorites are BT, Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Minus The Bear, The National, Atmosphere, and Portugal. The Man. That's not even scratching the surface, but those are some frequently played ones.

I listen to the same stuff minus trance and the whole rock thing. Drum and bass, IDM, house, that kind of junk. And then some pop stuff when I feel dumb and social.

I don't listen to anything when I'm shooting, I would scare off my subjects (birds/wildlife) if I did. The main reason I go out shooting, besides liking the subject, is to get away from the noise and business of regular life.
