wow I love this. It almost looks like a bleach bypass was used on it. The subtle blue and the roadway up to the mountains its great. The contrast is nice too, almost splits the image in half or top an bottom or whatever. great work.

Aaron - when I have situation like that, I usually try to make the center part straight, as that's were human eye concentrates it's attention (at least most of the time).

aes - yeah, I know the problem with spots, once I was trying to get rid of a spot from one of my pictures, and after 15min, I realized it's not the picture that has any spots but it's my screen :(

Thanks for the feedback. The bridge picture I had to make a compromise for shadow detail. Maybe I'll look at it the other way. For the cityscape shot, I'm pretty sure I used one of the edges of the square buildings to get the rotation correct but I'll double check that one too.

Don't you worry about that, the image is straight enough and it is a very nice shot ...

I went hiking out at Hamilton Pool today... it afforded me this oportunity to try out my spiffy new HDR iphone app.

The weird thing is that I lived down the road from this place for about 6 years now... I had no idea how beautiful it was (the picture doesn't quite do it justice). Its not at all what you would expect to find in texas.

adamz thanks for the comments, I cropped to the tall building because there were smaller buildings between it and the edge of frame. I never know what to do in those situations. Also that spot hahah I thought it was a spot on my monitor hahaha darn I wish I had fixed that.

aes - IMHO the sun was cooperating, as the colors are great, composition works too - You could only get rid of the black spot in the left part and maybe crop a little bit, to eliminate the tall building on the left - I've changed the image to normal, as it really deserves it.

reg - play a little bit with levels, as the colors are a little bit dull, overall nice composition

mb - sorry I'm not buying this picture, as I'm not sure what You wanted to show us - the bird, the trees, the chimney
