yup, seen the price before, and it's a bargain for this camera. If I would switch to digital, this would be my first choice, as for the money there's no better option right now.

Refurbs have been no problem for me. I currently have two...D40 and D90. My D200 was new. Not a hic-up from any of them. Go for it!

I dunno, maybe if I tell you for that money it's almost halfway there to a 105 micro? :D

yeah I'm going to wait. . .I've just been trigger happy lately since I have been mucking around with it. . .

I wouldn't let go of the D200, it would be a vacation "backup" of sorts. . .and I have a ton of trips for work/personal in 2010: Miami, Austin, Vienna, Barcelona, New Delhi, and possibly Goa (if I play my cards right). . .but not sure I could leave the D200 home if I do travel to all those places!

JA - I'll probably wait, the D700 replacement is going to tempt me wayyy to much once it's out anyhow :-) (especially if it has an articulating screen). . .

The only thing I can think to tell you is that you'll have to manual focus your 11-16 and your 24. Why not wait until February and see what comes out of PMA? Maybe you could put the money towards Lord of the Dark II if they release it (a D700s with the D3s sensor).

Don't look to us to convince you NOT to get it!

I've been loving this thing (currently renting it) just because the articulating screen gives you awesome low-angle shots. . .for $469, that's as much as a G11!!
