Nice hummingbird, shade. Back when I was in high school, there was a hummingbird that would wake me up almost every summer morning flying just outside my window. I assume he came for the spiders because there were always a lot (any bird experts care to set me straight if they don't eat spiders?).

Does that dog float like that often, Adam? Superdog. Well, super timing anyway. Nice composition, too—he's got places to go and fast.

It looks like the lens was a good investment, Gentoo!

Having a pet raccoon seems... a bit difficult.

Here's a hummingbird shot I took on Christmas Day. Spent about 10 minutes in the raw conversion tweaking colors and sharpening a bit, and some cropping (about 50% I'd say), but no heavy editing or anything.

Thxs Jonny, you have to love the retrievers, labs rock!! As far as the pet Raccoon, good choice not to have one. The Raccoons in the picture are fairly tame, they will take food out of your hand and don't bite. There were only 3 that morning, but we have seen up to 10 of them there at once. I'm waiting for that shot.

Thanks Jonny and Jessi! Morley is such a great subject to photograph. The 35mm is good so far, haven't put it through it's paces yet...

Nice bird shot with the reflection, PE. The forum is being overrun by retrievers, it seems. ;-)

Also, I love that raccoon shot. I always wanted a pet raccoon, but my dad claimed it would destroy our house.

I totally picture him as a retriever...who takes amazing pictures. Regulator, you are probably the only retriever with skills that I aspire to someday obtain :) I also aspire to obtain that lens - keep the examples coming please!

I feel like I know and love this dog at this point, Regulator. He also reminds me of a family dog we had when I was a kid. I wonder if I'm the only one who pictures you as a retriever.
