I played with the camera at Best buy and I get what he is saying. It is just because it is small and light that it feels cheap. So many people say that about the iphone 5 too. It's not that it is cheap, it is made from the best materials available, it just feels to light to be of great quality. Perception is key. He says the picture quality is unbelievable though.

I tend to appreciate reviews which do not begin with a very subjective style. The reviewer seems to be putting in a lot of personal bias into the review early, which turns me off. In my mind, it suggest the entire review, no matter how objective the reviews may wish to be, will be contaminated by his bias which seems clear from the get go.

Now, the review can still have a ton of useful information, and some may find this extremely helpful. But, i just prefer to hear more objective data and not so much negative stuff up front.

For example, using terms like "This surely cannot be true" and ‘cheap feeling" and then coming back and saying "This really is a matter of perception more than quality however as the D600 is built well with high end materials" is kinda like saying to your girl friend, "gosh honey, that dress makes you look fat" and then suggesting it was only a matter of perception. Not going to be a good night.....

I saw some videos of that review on youtube. I'm looking at it mostly for photography. Some of those issues would be tough to get over for sure.

Hey guys, this is the best review I have seen to date of the D600:
http://www.learningcameras.com/reviews/4-dslrs/75-nikon-d600-full-review

Looks like the image quality is outstanding but he had some usability issues and the video controls are really bad. He had a bad pixel too...yikes.
