Truth be told, I actually have the Nikon 28-300mm VR for my D800. When all I want is a general purpose lens on the camera it fits the bill.

But back to the topic, the lens did a fine job on the D4. Shot something worthy of us to watch in HD so we can see its true performance .

Now you're making me feel real bad for commenting. Good video capabilities for all new nikon dslrs though. I can't believe they actually bring a DSLR in! Well, tickets were probably $300 each

That poor D4...I hope it doesn't think it is an under age Coolpix ;)

I was surprised how it moved out of focus so much. Quite good quality all considering less than ideal situation.

What settings where you using?
Anything you would do different?

Was lucky enough to shoot JB over the weekend ,
instead of 24-70,70-200 and a 300 f2.8
I decided to bring one lens a 28-300 on my d4.
