No issues here with iPhoto (iLife '11) with D7000, D700, D800, D3s. Run software update and get the latest updates.

EDIT: f you are using the USB try putting the card in the MAC and see if you can import that way... Just a thought...

Make sure that you have all the iPhoto/RAW updates installed for the version of Mac OS X and iLife that you have installed. I haven't had any problems importing RAWs into iLife '11 but I also haven't tried on the older versions. As long as the RAW support updates are installed it shouldn't be a problem.

I recently upgraded to the D7000 and when I try importing my photos to iPhoto and it gives me an error. When I was importing it from D90 it works fine. I just read that there is an update for D800 and D3200, does anyone know if there's an update on D7000?

Why should they have a firmware update for a camera that will be replaced soon? Not every camera Nikon makes gets firmware updates. The last hope for current D90 owners is if Nikon announces the new replacement model and a firmware update at the same time as they did for the D70 and D70S.

They updated the camera's that didn't need any firmware updates. The D90 is THE model that needs a firmware update. Not only to add some new features, but to make Nikon look better. The live view screen is anything but live when it comes to changing your settings. Doesnt really affect daily shooting, but still makes Nikon look bad.

BB MAN: "Oh because Nikon is too lazy to fix it with new firmware."
How lame does that sound for Nikon? Whats next?

It would also be kind of nice to have the quiet shutter from the D5K, and video AF, slow nonetheless. Manual Video controls, even if the video sucks.

The reason why the Canon firmware has a hacker community while teh Nikon one does not is because there is no gain from hacking the nikon firmware. While Canon disables some camera features in firmware which when hacked can be reenabled.

How do you know admin? Remember, Nikon could have hidden some compatibility for the new battery pack or something in the update :^)

I updated my D300s, but there is nothing exciting in this release for me. Unless I buy a 64GB card or a battery pack.

I assume that the settings go to some default after a firmware update.

Exactly right Nau. whatever! thats how I felt as well when updated my D300s.
Allthough I had to fiddle a bit wiht the settings because for some reasons they where changed during the update.

LOL ... I haven't got around to updating my D40x firmware ... if there are any updates, haven't checked.

Truth be told, I never have updated the firmware on any hardware I own other than my iPhone. Even that, I only do because Apple adds obvious features and practically forces the update on you anyway.

I tried to update the firmware on my SB900 but it turned out that i was already running the most current version.

NIko I did update the firmware on my D300s and the only differnce I noticed so far is the primary wheel now changes the shutter speed whilse the secondary wheel changes the Fstop on the lens. Before the firmware I had it the other way around. I find it strange because I am used to change the Fstop with the primary wheel. I looked on the menu to see if I can change it back but no luck. Is there a way?

AS far as the picture goes and other bits I still have to test it.

I updated my D700 just after I read about the update. Although I haven't went out and shot anything yet, I hope to do so this comming week. Have to talk my self into going out in this cold and snow.

Haven't done it yet. Don't care about Auto WB, but some of the bug fixes look good. What are people saying about ISO performance?

Nobody cares nowadays I guess. My dad refuses to update firmware on anything, he just claims it'll mess it up—huh? Anyway, let's just post randomly to keep this thread active until somebody speaks up ;^)

D70 isn't my only camera, just my favorite :^)

How do you know anyway? Did you "accidentally" load the D700 firmware on to your D70? ;^) Gee, let me try that...
