Dave_Robo said:
When I first installed the Nikon transfer software it would recognize the second SD card. For some reason it only sees card 1 now. I can down load through windows explorer because it sees it. I've tried reinstalling the software but that didn't help. Is anyone else having this problem?

From what I have checked now with my PC, when I connect the camera, you see both slots as a continuous one.. but that is not the way I work. (I usually don't connect the camera to my PC, read below)

I don't connect the camera directly to the computer for several reasons, and I strongly advice you to get a fast card reader. The reasons:

1) If you have static electricity, it is easy to burn the USB driver of the camera, a spark may damage the hardware, therefore it is best to burn a cheap card reader than the USB port of the camera.

2) Dust and other dirt may start to accumulate on your camera's USB port or compartment, due that you open the rubber that covers the port every time, with the time this rubber becomes less hermetic, and here comes trouble.

3) You can continue to use the camera while you download the photos from your cards.

4) On my D70s, I has a faster card reader (Full USB 2.0) than the camera (USB 1.1)... newer cameras already support USB 2.0...
