Yeah, it makes me extremely angry when I drive behind slow drivers coming up to a light with a traffic camera because I want to make the light as much as they do, but they won't hurry up!

And the annoying thing is that they time it so that their speed can make the light- but not others behind them.

as for the speed cameras, there's a road in poland, where on the distance of 40 km is 11 speed cameras :)

These cameras are the worse thing to happen to traffic since the invention of speed bumps. People drive so damn eratic around the one's in Austin that its a bit of a hazard to go anywhere near the intersections where they exist.

Now to make matters worse, in additions to slamming on my breaks every time they turn yellow, I'm going to also ponder wether or not there's a D3X inside LOL.

And Channel 7 News gives free publicity to B and H by featuring it in their video. :D

And New York criminals endorse Nikon as well. I have to admit I'm tempted to rent a cherry picker after seeing this story :-)

Wow, D2x with what lens? I've seen people getting pictures taken with these boxes before. Didn't think they were Nikons though.

Wow it's been confirmed that the traffic cameras are indeed Nikon D2XS's! 22 were stolen and sold to B&H photo's used equipment department!!!!! 8^o

They were actually using Nikon D2 some time ago for traffic control (speeding etc.) ...

Traffic cops should use canon 1DMk3's, nobody's gonna want to steal that! 8^P

We also use Nikons are SeaWorld where I work. Everything from the three professionals (who use D100, D200 and D300) to the annoying people who take your pictures when you walk in the park (D50's and D40's) and the pictures you get after you ride the rides (remote sensor D70's), which are rigged along the ride in much the same way as the traffic light cameras.

It better not be a D300, I couldn't take it if the streetlights around me had a better camera than me. Even if they did, I hope most would agree I still make a better photographer than such contraptions.

At least they do in New York City. Imagine that, there's a D300 sitting up there with a 24-70 f2.8! Well maybe it's just a D50 and an 18-55, but still wow.
