dormant on "Timelapse mode / Intervalometer on a P300 ?"

1) P300 doesn't seem to have timelapse built-in.

2) I don't think there are any commercial intervalometers that can be used with the P300.

3) The P300 isn't listed as compatible with the [em]gphoto2[/em] software (http://gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php) so I doubt it is controllable over the USB.

I suggest you look at other cameras.

Thanks for the reply - the thread you linked to seemed to be about time lapse on SLRs (unless I missed something). But to clarify: I don't own a P300, I am just interested in picking one up IF it can be used for time lapse or whether it can be used with an intervalometer?

Maybe any P300 owners out there could shed some light?

Any help would be great.

And here are some of the Chiaten volcano in Chile (scroll down to see the ones by Carlos Gutierrez of the lightning storm).

The hardest part would be the album i mean really. Which photos do you pick out of 9000 to go in it. Ok lighting will not be a prob..someone got a couple alienbees i can borrow. no one needs stands we can all just hold lights for one another. How are we are going to all fit in one room to get the prewedding photos. I want a chance at some detailed dress shots.. oh the planning=) Hell I wont even eat.

We went out to the beach and messed around for an hour and a half while our camera was set to take a picture every six seconds. We took one of the pictures and designed it to be an appropriate "Save the Date" postcard so that when guests receive it it will tell them to visit our wedsite where they can see the full two minute video.

Goofing off experiment at sunrise = great success!

Not sure if the guy who shot the volcano is part of the same film crew, but there was a concert movie called "Heima" by the band Sigur Ros. The singer from the above clip is from that band and I know I've seen that plane wreckage before in the movie. It was a very well shot film with very similar imagery and style from a very beautiful country.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvcoEuJlVW4&feature=related

And in case you're wondering how an old guy like me knows about this band, my niece is a big fan and I watched the film with her and was amazed by the cinematography.
