Good job, i said you wouldn't regret it, but you will regret wanting all of the dreamy FX glass when you have to pay for it.

After moving over to the d700 even if it did come out I dont think I would care. This camera will cover all my needs and puts my mind at ease for the low light wedding inside at night in march. Good times right;-) It really is a huge jump. night and day(even though its only 2 mp)

Got the d700 on friday. It has not left my side. All I can say is amazing. Im very glad for all the imput from everyone.

This was from the first day I had my D7000. I didn't have good support (an ultrapod II that I usually use for my flash), so I compensated by post-processing the crap out of it.

@jonny: unfortunately not :( it got stolen with my tokie 11-16 so it'll take me a while to save up again and i'm paying for school so it'll take even longer. one day i'll get the tokie again, it's an amazing lens!

Thanks jonnyapple and adamz, I shot this event to see how my 70-300VR would do indoors at ISO 3200 on my D90. The lighting was horrible to shoot in and I had to do a lot of editing, so this was the ultimate test. If I had been closer the camera and lens would of worked quite well. I was probably 150-200 feet away when taking my pictures from the stands.

When I tried to denoise the picture it literally blurred the pixels. So I just removed the shadows and it saved my shots. I used Topaz Adjust4/ShadowRecovery for that and all other editing was done with Nikon Picture Project because I had a lot of pictures to edit.

Bland, that's impressive for ISO 3200. I can think of a couple of physics lectures where that would be a good picture to show.
