Hi,

I tried out the D600 with a few of the older Nikkor lenses like the 45mm F2.8 manual pancake lens (sharp), the AF-D 18-35mm F3.5-4.5 and the 80-200mm F/2.8D. All with very pleasing results.

The focusing system did a really good job in combination with the AF-D 80-200mm F/2.8, a lens that saves a lot of money if you compare it with the cost of the more modern AF-S 70-200mm F/2.8G VR II.

Looking forward to doing some more testing with the D600's HD movie recording features over the long weekend.

By the way, I hope you have some nice glass for your camera. You will get much better results from the likes of a 135mm DC, 24-70, 105mm VR etc etc. Having fun with it? :)

Oh forgot it's a D800.

How about posting some pictures of fine repetitive patterns so we can see what effect no AA filter has?

I got both of my D800 cameras last month, the box is just a box. I threw those away.

B&H did not come through after 3.5 months. However, Midwest Photo Exchange in Columbus, OH, did come through.

This is not a camera, it's a miracle in a box. When I got home, I took 6 shots. They were a gross mistreatment of what this camera was for, but, hey, haven't you ever had to scratch an itch?
