Because there are several innovation from other good company, they perhaps overturned, but still Nikon have >Link removed> on its different cameras.

I was just at best buy tonight and they had 3 or so of them.

Every Nikon dealer with a bunch on order got a handful of cameras today (I got just a few), or earlier this week. Larger allocations will be shipped after Photokina - probably on 10/1.

Or a lot of demand. Considering how many products Nikon has released in the last month, and how few factories they have it could take a two or three months for products to meet the demand.

Update: Just got one from **Link Removed**-- they got 5 in today and I got the 4th one. The last one should be available as of 4:20pm EDT.

Everybody else that I can find says "pre-order." Sounds like limited production quantities coming from Nikon. Think they're having manufacturing difficulties...

Just asked at Ritz Camera -- they already received a shipment and shipped them all out. Next shipment is due on October 10. They would not provide information on how large the pre-order is or how large a shipment they expect to receive. For that matter, when pressed if there were supposed to be enough units in the October 10 shipment to cover an order if placed today, they demurred.

That should give some indication of the current backlog.

Ritz Camera has theirs in stock and shipping currently.

It's been spotted at local Best Buy stores over the weekend. Quite a few high ISO examples have been posted over at dpreview. Looks like Nikon's 30 day window held true. Here's hoping for the same with my D7000!

My pet peeve about the 5D2 is that it changes every time i bump it or take it out of the bag.

the key phrase in the Ritz contract is "repair or replace". You might as well ask for a D3, why settle for a D90. They'll throw in a pro printer and some lighting and 3 months rent free in a studio of your choice.

Sigma is back with Ritz but with a limited supply. It is no secret that I work at Ritz, and what they have been telling us to do now is call the warehouse to check availability, and if the order is placed then the warehouse will ship it overnight to the store.

On the subject of the phones, when Ritz sold T-Mobile phones/plans the deals were always better than getting them from a T-Mobile dealer. I hope it's just as good with Verizon.

didnt' NR ADMIN post something about RItz becoming exclusive Nikon awhile back? Sad move. . .I have NO third party options to play with locally outside of trekking to Adorama or BH. . .

I have had a refurb replacement, it came direct from Nikon and has been 100% dependable. I could not tell if it were a new never been touched camera. My wife has also had a couple of sensor cleanings that would have ended up more costly than the price of the warranty.

Local Ritz stores have everything except Cannon, probably more merch than ever. Also getting Verizon phones in.

till the dust is smaller than 1mm in diameter leave it, as it's not going to do anything with Your pictures, If You really need to clean the lens, here's how I do it:
- check if there are some visible pieces of dust, that can be taken by air blower
- if so, use the air blower
- breathe gently on the lens
- take a clean part of tshirt
- clean the lens with this clean part of tshirt
I've never had any problems with any of my lenses, and I'm using this technique for the last 10 years.

When I'm at home, I sometimes use the IPA cleaner and some cleaning tissues.

Check the instructions on the bottle, but it should be a sure thing for the glass jmichael99. Microfiber is good just make sure you wash it when it gets used up a lot. Don't ever use it to clean the sensor though.

when i went to the beach i got a little ocean spray on my 70-300mm lens. I know its salt, but it was VERY little. just a few specs. I have some monster cleaning agent and microfiber towel i use on my LCD TV. would this be ok to use on my lens?
