Was your L-Plate for the camera only or including the MB-D12 power grip? I ordered the L-Plate for the power grip included and read that it will be 4-5 weeks to produce them.

try KEH, i see they have one.

I love my RRS plates. I got on to them after buying the 70-200 foot. The markins one has a round tightener and the rubber just slipped around if i put it on tight, i had to use pliers to get it off. the tightener on the rrs foot is a clever shape that allows for easy gripping.

i now use all rrs even though i have gitzo and markins.

And +1 for kanuck's post. The support is something to consider. Good luck getting something from Gitzo directly, and Markins America is slow too. RRS support is top notch

Wow my favourite products mentioned in one question! haha but seriously RRS and Gitzo are wonderful. I have a gitzo carbon fiber tripod, RRS head and plates. RRS customer service is the best of any business I have ever dealt with and they take your needs/comments extremely seriously. I also have a Markins ballhead which has been good also, except the 360 degree panning knob ceases up from time to time if over torked. +1 for Segura's post.

sorry, my caps lock was on as i was typing, and i did not notice until half way through, was not meaning to be yelling, maybe just happy about my recent rss purchases. the fit, finish, etc was better than i had expected. the leveling option for the tripod is a really nice thing also.

I HAVE ALL RRS, BALLHEAD, PLATES, QUICK RELEASES, MONOPOD (EXTRA TERRIFIC), AND TOP END TRIPOD. DO NOT GET ANY OF THIS UNLESS YOU WANT THE VERY BEST. IT ALSO WORKS GREAT WITH MANFROTTO 504 HEAD FOR VIDEO (YOU NEED ONE EXTRA PLATE FROM MANFROTTO TO USE L-PLATE AND LENS PLATE BOTH).
