Perhaps this isn't quite kosher on NR but I accidentally ran across this wedding photographer's website and was very impressed by his creative and unusual compositions. If you scan through his site you will find lots of ideas you can try yourself. He was a sport's photographer who now shoots weddings, perhaps giving him an unusual perspective.

VERY, very nice post, thanks so much, seriously. Wow. Wow, wow. It once again shows how much it's the photographer that makes the picture. I just saw 10 pictures until now, but they were truly great, simple, touching, perfect. This link should be posted as an auto reply to "which camera should I get, A or B" questions.

Msmoto: some great ideas there. I would never have thought of the pedicure photos but they were very cute. I do have to admit my favorite was the 911. I have a 2000 base 911 and it is more car than I am driver! I keep wanting to go at least 20 mph faster around turns than posted in order to even start to feel the car perform even far down on it potential.

Rx4Photo: Right, I would never have thought to shoot many of those shots he took.

Many people turn to PAD for inspiration. Consider the images on this website as extensions of PAD limited to the subject of shooting weddings. But many of the compositions could be used for shooting portraits as well. I though these images were worth sharing.

Perhaps others can post exceptional websites on other types of photography in this thread, if the NR "police" allow it. This is not advertising. None of us are going to hire this guy. We are just looking at his website so we can copy some of his ideas. That's all.

I do like the style of this photographer. Didn't look like he/she/they always went for the sharp and unobstructed photo. Shooting thru people, around corners, and sometimes from lower angles resulted in some very unique perspectives.

OK, now another admin may kill this, but I was in my son's wedding, but did some snapshots as the fifth photographer at the venue.

All were done with available light as I prefer to shoot these things.... I would suggest you run the slide show and just watch. IMO this is a record of the wedding as I saw it...limited by the fact I had to be in the wedding.

And, please understand these could be edited further, but the kids wanted all of them so as to include as much as possible.
