I really miss Niko too....his humorous wit especially.With the hours that he was spending on the forum,burnout would seem logical! I do hope that's it,and not something serious..........All the best Niko.....where ever you may be.

I understand. I run blogs/lists myself and the Wordpress ones get spam from Facebook users all the time (but there are automated ways of dealing with them), and of course, you could always hire someone else to co-moderate on here?

@bjrichus - the spam traffic is quite high lately and due to my trip preparations I haven't been able to spend enough time on the forum - so sorry if something goes through but once I get chance to go through the forum log trust me, the extermination is on gigantic scale :)

I think the spammer thing will be getting some closer scrutiny in the near future. It appears some create a new account, then drop several ads into different threads. We will see...

I made contact with the president of the Texas Photographers' Association and he had no clue. If Niko were on the NRF and lurking, no doubt we would know this. I think MIA is the best I can figure.

And, please understand, one of my other avocations is in the psychological area and a period of individual grieving is considered a part of normal life. Thus, I will simply place my wreath on this thread and be grateful that NikoDoby was such a great contributor to this thread.

I personal messaged him a couple months back ago, he hasn't responded.

Hopefully NikoDoby (do we know if it is He or She?) is alive and well.

I really don't think that anyone has a clue. He was definitely a man of mystery.

Having looked at some of the threads on NRF, I do understand NikoDoby is a private individual and this is not intended to cross any boundaries. But, apparently, NikoDoby has been absent from NRF for over a month or more.

If something has happened to NikoDoby, it would seem appropriate to at least try to give some support as the contributions were immense. Or if it is simply a decision to be in another place, fine.

This is a thread to collect any information regarding any news of NikoDoby which is NOT to identify, but simply to find out if anything unfortunate has happened for which we may need to mourn a great loss.
