The best images are things that have lots of structure or texture. Some thing that has distinct variations of color, light to dark. It give the photo more contrast and creates a beautiful photo. Hire the Dubai based professional photographer for making your images special.

Two things the photographer always must make look good, and fresh.....females and food. Do not forget this, guys.

In all my female portraits, I have a rule of thumb. If possible, decrease wrinkles, eliminate zits, blackheads or any skin defect, increase eyeliner if appropriate, clean the eyes, brighten the iris, and ad lipstick. And, this must be done manually. Only the photographer knows what she wants the image to look like.

As to the topic of the thread... we are folks who record history. Most of us want to do this in a manner which brings to the final product a feeling of the original scene. But, we must do this without harming anyone or anything. We must practice our craft in a cloud of unconditional love. And then we will see the image, record the image, and create great photos....

Oh - the rest of the story --- The bride did take her case to trial, and the judge dismissed the suit. The bride then appealed, and in January 2012 the appellate court upheld the trial court ruling (dismissing the case), stating, in part, that the actions of the photographer were within the contractual agreement of the parties.

Lesson to be learned? Be sure you have a contract and that it's a good one.

Off topic - recently saw a walk-through of a photo shoot for a quater pounder(narrated by McD's Canada director of marketing). Takes several hours from start to photo, and the photo was taken immediately as the mustard and katsup were applied with a syring - had to get the shots while the cheese and condiments were just perfect. They even showed how they photoshopped the bun and the cheese after the photo shoot. They admitted that you would never find a burger like that at McDonalds.

Weddings are big business and a lot of vendors compete with one another for the attention of the bride to be and all of them want to put their best foot forward.

Ever notice that many of the shots in vendor catalogs look so good? The bride and groom could be models who just stepped off the cover of a magazine, the setting is pristine and idyllic, the flowers, the candles, all so amazing.

The bride probably needs to make some cash to pay for her "dream" wedding... you know the one where the parents need to take a 2nd mortgage to pay for the dress their princess wants...

Keep the cameras out if you don't want someone to take a picture... you knew they were being taken, so take some personal responsibility!

I do love all the stories regarding the things people get sued for in the US. I'm sure that Europe will soon catch up. A fellow photographer/trip organiser is currently being used for defamation for calling a woman "you little golden snake" after she failed to ... in that case I do agree, what have the snakes ever done to him that he disrespects them like that.

I do agree that the photog studio couldn't do anything else and that the bride is just seeking the deep pockets for relief for her "ptsd"...
Hey, wait a minute! If the story that Nikodoby described in his msg is the same one as included in the newstory in the URL in his msg, there is a critical piece of information left out in ND's summary. That info is that the bride ASKED the photographer to NOT shoot her in her undies and "forbad" her from shooting her in her lingerie.

NikoDoby is this the same story? Maybe you have additional info that is not included in the URL newstory?

The newstory didn't include the photog's side of the story which was released in a separate "press release". Other than that, no one can comment on exact details. This wedding happened over a year ago. Apparently there have been attempts to "fix" things but the bride chose to sue.

If she didn't want "racy" pictures of herself then why let a female photographer be present in the room with you when your changing? I feel, as do many others, that the bride is simply embarrassed that "strangers" with access to her password and online proofs saw them. She can't sue her family members who "shared" the password with other friends/family so she's lashing out at the photog and studio.

I don't know what the photog and studio could have done differently. Once they give the online proofing password to the bride how can they stop her from giving the password to others? If she didn't like the "racy" photos then she should have requested they be removed BEFORE she passed around access. It's seems very fishy to me but then again wedding's and there aftermath's can be very stressful and you don't know what to expect sometimes :^(

In any case, it is hard to believe that the bride suffered post traumatic stress syndrome (PSTD) as a result of the wedding shots as is mentioned in the news story. Oh wait, maybe the photog was shooting her with a noisy Canon that sounds like an AK-47 with certain lenses?
(As a newby to this forum, I need to know am I in trouble for joking about Canons?)

A detailed contract usually limits misunderstandings and liability. Make sure you specify all deliverables, responsibilities, schedules and remedies. I would rather promise a re-shoot (portraits, of course, I doubt they'd have another ceremony), than pay damages. I'd look around for standard forms, but make certain you modify for your specific requirements. Arbitration is much better for dispute resolution than getting stuck in court, so make sure it's binding on both parties and part of the contract.
