This was an opportunistic shot, I came out of a dark spot shoting mushrooms and this squirrel was ready for the spotlight... without any time, I took three shots but not with the settings I would have prefered...

The D7000 is genuine. The Rolex Yachtmaster is a replica (actually it is the very best replica of this watch money can buy with a genuine Swiss movement - it cost me about $600 and they are no longer available because only a few were made in very limited numbers as a joint venture between a guy in China and a guy in California - look up the price of the real one - you will be astonished - no one can tell the difference until you open up the case and see the movement inside does not have the Rolex stamp on it).

OK, I've figured out what I want for Christmas this year....SquamishPhoto's Zeiss lens and Donaldejose's Rolex. Done.
Extraordinary month of photos everyone!! It's been thoroughly enjoyable. Lookong forward to a transitioning of seasons.....and football.

Coastal, where is this place that you are getting such incredible images?

In looking at your beautiful photo...do you need flash? In PP if you pull shadows up and highlights down, then increase contrast, it may accomplish what you want (assuming you have not done that already). But such a nicely captured moment.

My favourite pic from my recent trip to Gerona, Spain.
My 8 year old is always in her 'own wee world' and the light bouncing out of her new beachball has lit this shot beautifully. Now I need to work out how to get my flash in there :)

The image is worth working on.

Shame about the P&S and jpeg though make sure you at least use non-destructive editing on it now.
