This could only work in a Camera without a mechanical shutter and how would it work in fast motion

I think "The green pixels are exposed 4 times longer than the red and blue, thus achieving the sensitivity gain" = fail in still photography.

According to a Panasonic engineer the GH2 will have a new sensor that will have,
"A factor of 4 increase in sensitivity will allow the Micro 4/3rds camera to surpass the full frame Canon 5DMkII"

Pretty brazen statement! The same engineer goes on to say that Sony will become their biggest competition because of their new sensor and that Sony will have a CMOS camera with a global shutter. So no more rolling shutter!

There is also mention of a curved sensor!!!

Could the same or very similar sensor make it's way into future Nikons? That would definitely be a "surprise" wouldn't it?
