The point is that you should ask your question on that thread, not whether it is already answered. This serves to keep similar topics organized under a smaller number of threads and prevents duplication of effort.

Thank you TTJ. I have searched the forum before posting my question. That post was discussing my question indirectly. As such the answers were not sufficient. That's why I couldnt find an answer between the lines.

Thank you though for pointing that out. I am looking for a more clarification here if possible. If not, then that's ok too.

Cheers all,

I meant no disrespect. I didn't mean to waste YOUR time.

Rumors imply speculations about 'uncertain' truth. If I was asking about certain event, I might have tried your crystal ball. But I am not. I thought Nikon's rumor forum a perfect place to ask my question about possible 'uncertain' coming event! and that's why I posted my question here!

Btw, sometimes silence is gold! Or as someone has once said: (check out your crystal ball to know who)

“You should try not to talk so much, my friend. You'll sound far less stupid that way."

Hey guys,

. But thought since Christmas is around the corner, might as well wait. So my question, any rumors (or facts!) about the price of d600 going down a bit for Christmas??

I have a crystal ball on my santa list. 'Will let you know what's happening on the 25th

seriously, this forum is petty good for technical question, but if any of us could predict the future, we would not be wasting our time trying to answer silly questions

I am in Australia, and the cheapest (brand new with Australia-based warranty) is about $1900! But regardless of any exact figure, do prices for Nikon usually drop during Christmas?

Thanks jonnyapple and adamz, I shot this event to see how my 70-300VR would do indoors at ISO 3200 on my D90. The lighting was horrible to shoot in and I had to do a lot of editing, so this was the ultimate test. If I had been closer the camera and lens would of worked quite well. I was probably 150-200 feet away when taking my pictures from the stands.

Here's the original shot so you can see how it came out of the camera: http://i56.tinypic.com/34fm98n.jpg

When I tried to denoise the picture it literally blurred the pixels. So I just removed the shadows and it saved my shots. I used Topaz Adjust4/ShadowRecovery for that and all other editing was done with Nikon Picture Project because I had a lot of pictures to edit.
