  • Why oh why do we never get any remotely similar memory card discounts here in the UK 🙁

    • T.I.M

Get someone in USA to buy it and send it to you in UK !
I shipped in over 150 different countries, without any issue !

    • Robert Slowley

You can ship to the UK from Adorama (in fact I just have).

      • I just bit the bullet & ordered a pair from B&H – too good to resist even with the duty…

  • Stephen Corby

Wow this is fantastic. Time to stock up, thanks Admin!

  • Duncan Dimanche

Damn that 128GB is pretty cheap ! I remember buying my 128GB SD card (pretty slow) for a similar price à few years ago

  • PabloNY

wish they had it on amazon… just got some gifts cards for them.

    • nwcs

Adorama fulfills a lot on Amazon so it may be there.

    • Cameron

As far as I can tell, Amazon is offering the discount for the 64GB card but they’re just currently out of stock. I saw the discount earlier today but they only had like 12 in stock.

Looks like you can pre-order from Amazon at the $99 rate and receive the cards once they’re back in stock. No idea how long that will be though.

  • T.I.M

    I remember paying $95 for a 16GB CF card…..
    :o(

    • Jean Fotomode

I remember paying $ 110 canadian for my first memory card, a CF 1go for my first DSLR, a Nikon D200 !

      • T.I.M

        1go=1 gigaoctet ?

        • T.I.M

When I left France gigaoctets card/memory did not exist yet.
My first computer (Sinclair ZX-81) had only 1024 octets memory !

        • Jean Fotomode

          Yep

    • yrsued

      I remember paying $325 for a 128 MB CF Cards, soooo….

  • T.I.M

Ok, 440mb/s is the READ speed, who care ?????
What we want to know is the WRITE speed (not mentioned on the specs)
Anyone know the write speed of that card ?

    • lefantome

        Thanks,
400MB/s WRITE is very good, they should not be shy of that.

  • usa

    Great news! Thank you Peter!

  • Steve Perry

    Thanks – grabbed a couple 🙂

  • Tenzin Samjung

Makes me wonder if Lexar is going to release a new version………

    • Jason Ortiz

      That’s what I’m thinking

    • whisky

given all the deep discounts given by Lexar of late, across their lines, i suspect it’s more of a cash flow issue.

    • Spy Black

…or maybe they’re pulling out of the XQD market.

  • T.I.M

C’est la poste Canadienne ou bien UPS qui livre le colis ?

    • Jean Fotomode

C’est avec Purolator, livré à la porte en 3 jours ! Ça fait plusieurs fois que j’achète chez BH et toujours aucun soucis. Il faut simplement cocher à la commande que l’option “When would you like to pay your Customs Clearance?” soit cocher. / With Purolator, delivered to the door in 3 days! It’s been several times that I bought at BH and still no worries. Simply check the command option “When would you like to pay your Customs Clearance?” is check.

      • T.I.M

Cela prends une semaine pour etre livre en Floride !
        Incroyable !

  • whisky

it’s almost like a christmas present to Nikon. 🙂

    • Eric Calabros

The next move should be making D850 with dual slot XQD

      • T.I.M

please add 50 to your D850, thank you.

        • preston

Please stop harping about the name. Everybody knows what he’s referring to. Beyond that is just speculation since there are no credible name rumors, therefore there is no reason to correct him. Thank you.

          • T.I.M

            True,
But remember, for many years I was right about the never released Nikon D400…..

            • preston

Not sure if that was a joke or not (if it was then I don’t get it). My point is that is doesn’t matter, and even if it did, for the purpose of discussion I’d posit that calling it a D850 is actually more clearly referring to a D810 replacement than calling it a D900 would be.

            • T.I.M

There is 99% chance it will be called D900 because of the new 48MP sensor.

            • preston

When is the last time that Nikon named a camera after the MP count? Oh yea – never.

            • T.I.M

              never, except for the D1 (2.7MP), D1x (5.3MP), D100 (6MP), D200 (10MP), D300 (12MP), D800 (36MP), D3 (12MP), D3x (24MP), D4 (16MP), D5 (20MP)……

            • preston

              you lost me.

            • Robert Slowley

This T.I.M guy is talking complete rubbish.

            • T.I.M

              what’s rubbish ?

            • Eric Calabros

You’ve successfully reached a point about this number to receive “get a life” comment from people.

            • neversink

              “Get a life!!!!!!!!!!”

            • T.I.M

              Thanks, learning everyday !

            • neversink

Hey – you finally found your sense of humor!!!

            • doge

              zero correlation.

            • Sports

              D700 (12MP)
              D750 (24MP)
              Your theory falls.

            • there is 100% chance T.I.M. is wrong 🙂

            • T.I.M

I have about 354121537 more chances that the D800 successor will be the D900 compared to my chances of winning Florida lottery.

            • Allan

              Everybody loves a nudnik (casse-pieds).

            • neversink

That’s a great name for a new series of cameras —
              The New Nikon Nudnik 1
              “I am Nudnik.”

            • neversink

Get a sense of humor… And stop being so picky about the name…. Honestly, who cares…
Now a camera walks into a bar and says, “Give me a shot….”

            • Wesley

Right about what? They named it D500.

            • Yes. The same way I will be right about me dying. Someday.

            • T.I.M

wrong, you could be dying Somenight….

          • neversink

Have a Sense of humor —

            • preston

I don’t know if you are familiar with this T.I.M character, but I only mention it because they comment on the name of the camera ALL THE TIME. I am not angry or anything. Just pointing out to him that some of us find it pretty annoying. And then he says random garbage like above in that the MP count relates to nikon camera naming. I’m not really seeing the comedy there probably because there is none.

            • neversink

I realize that T.I.M is a Nudnik, as someone has stated. That is why you should ignore him or have a sense of humor. Answering him only encourages him/her/it.

  • Brian

Just ordered some 64gb, paid $203 back in January for one. Great deal!!!

  • whisky

didn’t take long. both Adorama and B&H are backordered for all sizes. i suspect they’ll cut-off this sale sooner than later.

  • peterchia41

Just got the 128GB from B&H… its now out of stock with new stock coming in. In no rush as i got my current XQDs to use!

From Singapore. cheapest shipping is only U$5+… totally worth it.

It was just beginning of the year where i bought a 64GB at a higher PRICE!

  • JG

There are a lot of negative reviews of this card on B&H but mostly for use in Sony FS7 video camera which they are not compatible with, so my guess is the Lexar is not selling them very well and thus the discount. It is a great option for Nikon users however, and I might get a few.

  • David Peterson

    Sucks that they don’t work in a Sony FS7 :-/ 🙁

  • whisky

“We’re sorry you weren’t able use the Lexar Professional 1400x XQD card with your Sony PXW-FS7 XQD camera. Sony is currently working on a software update for this camera, which we believe will resolve compatibility issues. Update information is provided on the XQD page of the Sony website.” — Lexar Support on Amazon

from Sony’s site, it’s revealed that even Sony’s new M series cards don’t work with the FS7, and Sony is predicting they’ll have new firmware (V3.1) available shortly (March 2016) to fix this.

what “sucks” seems to be more of a firmware issue with XQD on Sony’s side than anything Lexar. hopefully Sony will fix this for FS7 users soon enough.
