Thank you for all your work compiling Nikon related news. Your posts are a terrific source of information.

    • thanks!

Totally agree, I get all my Nikon news here. I also enjoy the reviews from guest posts, keep them coming Peter.

Unfortunately, the top post for March will be the D750 recall ;-(

    • IronHeadSlim

Obviously, the passion for that issue is because of the technology between our eyes and the final photo. It is very personal. Those that don’t have camera trouble do not want to hear that Nikon is failing and those that do are personally offended. Nikon can ignore it or they can put out advisories and fix the problem camera by camera, they still get blowback. $.02.

Still a long ways to go.
Who knows what problems we’ll hear from the D5.

    • Bill

I’d much rather a company recall a problem, and fix it for free, then deny it exists.

  • nwcs

After some months of nothing really it’s been nice to have a month or two of new products and activity to discuss.

    • yes, Nikon did not announce anything in the last 5-6 months of 2015

  • whisky

i can’t recall nikon announcing new product with >3~4 month delivery schedules and in the case of the Keymission 360 no schedule at all.

so far their time warp strategy appears to be a success.

Went to another launch event last night at Action Camera, probably one of the last ones.
It was noted that the specs won’t be finalized until the cameras are shipped. So it’s possible that the D5’s UHD video could be extended to 30 minutes like the D500.
Also, it was emphasized that all the sample images posted on the web are based on JPEGs, as the final RAW converter hasn’t been released yet. So expect better results from the raw files.

    • Thought as much. Considering nikon’s history of giving accurate or even conservatively lesser estimates of their camera bodies’ ISO and DR capabilities, the jpeg samples were surely found to be somewhat wanting; i.e. when one considers the impressive 2 stop better performance as quoted for D5. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I remember a posting in February about a rumor of lens rebates possibly returning in March. Any update?

  • Angie

I would love to hear some news of the D8xx replacement. Hoping for a D820 with D5 focus system and an ISO button on the back!

  • KlaxonsFive

Of course, this top 10 is not including a post announcing the compatibility between ViewNX-i and OSX El Capitan as this compatibility has never been announced …
