Samsung officially denied all rumors about Nikon buying their NX mirrorless technology

Just a quick update on my Samsung post from yesterday:  Samsung officially denied all rumors about Nikon buying their NX mirrorless technology to AmateurPhotographer. If you have ever worked with a PR person/agency you know that this doesn’t mean much, but I am still surprised because the standard response to such inquiries is usually “no comments” or “we do not discuss rumors“.

Few weeks ago Samsung USA made a statement that they are not exiting the camera business. Keep in mind that this was Samsung USA and they are still selling cameras in the US. The second report about Samsung pulling out from the UK market came from Samsung UK which is a separate entity – so Samsung did actually tell the truth so far.

Just few days ago rumors about a new Samsung NX2 mirrorless camera being announced at the 2016 CES show in early January were floating online. So yes, January and February will be very interesting. Of course if something changes or if I receive any new reliable information, I will post it online asap.
