No rebates on the new 58mm with body? :-(

  • JR

Do I get a free lens pillow with that Nikon Df ? So I can lounge back and study pure photography eh ?

    • mikeswitz

It would probably do you good to study any kind of photography.

  • Chris

If I bought a new D7100 from Amazon in early November, could I get the instant rebate on a new lens I buy now? (I’m assuming I had to buy the lens and body in the same purchase, but I have to ask)

    • Photobug

No you cannot get that discount. The instant rebate requires that the body and lens or body + kit lens and another lens be purchased at the same time. Sorry.

  • stormwatch

Why does the Df need a rebate when there is such a huuuuge demand for it? It’s ridiculous from any economics standpoint, when demand rises, price rises also.

My understanding is that the rebate is to sell more lenses.

      • Kynikos

If true, can you please speculate why they will not give us lens-only rebates?

        • http://nikonrumors.com/ Nikon Rumors

Because they are not hurt really bad financially. Last year they introduced the lens only rebates in February/March right before the end of their financial year. If they cannot meet their objectives, I suspect they will do the same in 2014.

          • Kynikos

            Cheers.

      • stormwatch

Ok, I agree with that. But, still doesn’t see the real point of discounting Df with any possible combination of lenses.

    • mikeswitz

why exactly do you care how the Df sells or when its on sale “with lenses”?

    • WDF??

Dear Admin: apart from the sad attempts at clickbait the facts seem to be:
      1. The Df is not rebated, the lenses are
      2. Its a BaH promotion, nothing to do with Nikon.

      • http://nikonrumors.com/ Nikon Rumors

It’s not B&H promotion, Nikon strictly enforces the prices and rebates in the US.
