This is what I’ve been waiting for.

    Thank you for D800 tethering!

  • Jeremy

I’ll never get used to that cover art.

    • David K

Yes, I agree. It is horrible. They should update that also, while they are at it.

Why is CS6 a prerequisite for any ACR 7.1 & above?

Because of this, I’m stuck with the 7.1 release candidate version which only works for D800 nef files.

Why should I upgrade if CS5 does the job for me? All new ACR should be backwards compatible, at lest with current versions down to CS2 (I know many people still using)

    Damn it !

Because Adobe company sucks, they want to earn more & more.

Camera Raw 6.7 Beta is the only version converting D800 while still usable by CS5. Then Adobe artificially disables later versions with anything older than CS6.

So I still can’t tether my D800 in LR 4 on Mac? (says win only)

  • Barrett

The update only fixes the tethering bug on Windows?

Tether support not working for Nikon D4, D800 , and D800E (win only)

    • DY

Can someone confirm tethering not fixed for Mac users?!! If so, what was Adobe thinking?!

  • peter2

    Sigh.
Tried it. It was able to detect the camera, aperture, speed, ISO etc, once. The top LCD of the camera indicated “PC”, which says it’s connected. Then it hangs. Tried again with all possible suggestion from the help menu in LR but still no camera detected.

    Any suggestion is welcome :)

(seems like someone out there is doing it w/o problem : http://photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00alci?unified_p=1)

Should have indicated that it was on Win 7, 64

It almost seems like all of these highly regarded companies are giving up on it’s customers… Is there a reason behind this? probably. Do we know the reason? no. Well.. at least not until we become a massive company and see their side of things.

Has LR 4.x or ACR had any updates to handle NEFs as well as Capture NX2 yet? I still seem to get better results by opening up NEFs in Capture NX2, saving to TIFF and then importing to LR4. Do any of these updates address that? Thanks.

When will they give us a lens profile for the 80-400?!

    • Big eater

Adobe was expecting everyday photogs to create them and share them on the Adobe site. Didn’t you get the memo? If you go dig around adobe.com you could find the method.

Bundled with the Lens Profile Creator is the Lens Profile Downloader. The downloader is a very nice tool for finding profiles others have created for various lenses Nikon hasn’t bothered with.

Hopefully they have optimised it for the macbook pro retina screens.
