Possible Nikon D4 sighting at a hockey game

A reader sent me those two pictures of an unidentified Nikon camera and lens taken at a recent NHL game: The camera looks like a D3/D3x/D3s. The body and the lens are both covered up, but the shape of the pentaprism is what got me interested:

Nikon’s solution to prevent condensation in underwater camera housings

Nikon currently doesn’t have any underwater housings in their product line. Here a is a patent* (2010-197939) for an underwater housing that can connect to an external tank of compressed air in order to prevent condensation inside the camera housing:

Nikon files a patent for optical communication between lens and body

Japanese patent application 2010-282101 is for an optical communication between lens and camera body. Nikon will not have any announcements at CES 2011

It seems that Nikon will not have any announcements at CES 2011. Nikon has only reserved meeting rooms at the show and will not have a real booth. The next Nikon Coolpix refresh to include a 24-100mm zoom camera with fast f/1.8 aperture *UPDATED*

Update: the lens will go up to 100mm on the tele end and not 120mm as initially reported.
