1. The person states that they do not see a difference.
2. When the differences are now pointed out to the person they explain what these differences are and now what?

Only a child would feel bad from being right about differences yet wrong about a new lens.

I have to think you are right. I am thinking they will release a D700 with video and ONLY a 14ish MP sensor. They would charge more for it and many would just buy the D700 instead. By canceling the D700, you have no fallback to a previous model.

This might be obvious for many already. I researched a bit backwards in time, about Nikon’s camera releases. This is a hard one(or in fact impossible), when looking backwards there looks like its very very much time to replace all line up this summer, new D3, new D700, new D90, new D300. Question is if Nikon will wait with release any of these cause of the amount of cams being released at this short time. Which will wait? Or we will get two releases one FX and one DX(most likely), one early summer and one late.

Sum is there will be new cams somewhere around June to August 2010.

Let me spell it out for you again in more simpler or precise terms.

Scroll down to the middle of the page and you will see a Nikon lens that the caption states is 24-70 F2.8 BUT the lens picture shows 28-70 F2.8 and it is a different lens from the one shown on Page 7 of their review here – http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2010/03/12/review_camera_nikon_d3s_dslr/page7.html

2. Scroll down to the middle of the page and you will see a 24-70 F2.8 and then note the differences between pages 7 and 8.

3. Page 7 correctly shows a 24-70 F2.8 while page 8 shows a different lens and identifies it also as a 24-70 F2.8 BUT the picture shows a different lens – a 28-70 F2.8 Nikon lens.

Why don’t you look at the middle of the page at the lens that they list as a 24-70 F2.8 and SEE that the photograph clearly shows a 28-70 F2.8 plus there is NO “N” for nano-coating sign on the lens like the current 24-70 F2.8, at least in the same place as it.

I just sent the link to the Administrator, as perhaps he has an eye for details.

I exchange few emails with that guy – not trustworthy and decided not to post it here. He basically said that the D700 replacement will have a very sophisticated video function with full manual control.
