Takes a bit of practice, but most people work out how to get it right on the fourth or fifth try. It does void your warranty of course. I know of no other lens that is capable of even coming close in performance. Ok maybe not any price, but hats off to Nikon for making what I think is the best wide angled lens in the DSLR world, prime included. (thought the 28mm f/1.4 is a hect of a close second).
