No, you still have to buy a D3x and a D700, take both apart and assemble the D3x parts into the D700 body.

Takes a bit of practice, but most people work out how to get it right on the fourth or fifth try.

It does void your warranty of course.

Yes i care. My 70-200 VRII is that hasn't arrived is now $150 cheaper. and so is my D3S. so that's $300+ tax. $320 cheaper now with the price drop.
why not i care?

The 14-24mm f/2.8 is a bargain at any price! I know of no other lens that is capable of even coming close in performance. Ok maybe not any price, but hats off to Nikon for making what I think is the best wide angled lens in the DSLR world, prime included. (thought the 28mm f/1.4 is a hect of a close second).

Mleh I bought my lenses for cheaper than they are showing there. I am thinking that is just the MSRP. I mean I paid $1799 for my 14-24 and $1699 for the 17-35.

What I really wanna see is $500 off the D3s.

For future blog posts like this, I'd suggest you simplify the formatting. Keeping the order you have is good, but group all the items that have no price reduction into a separate category at the end and list them simply as "Lens xx-xx/x.x, $yyy.yy". It would make the whole list shorter and clearer, and more oriented toward what the reader is looking for.

I can add i already have all the lenses i need. The only thing interesting would be a tilt-shift lens or replacing my current lenses with the 'new' models. Like my 70-200 to the new one.

The $C has appreciated against the dollar almost 20% YTD, largely due to the weakness of the dollar generally and also due to the $C's tie to commodity prices like oil. However, historically, the $C has typically been at par with the dollar and the current value is about average for the past five years. I suspect Nikon's price adjustment isnt' owed completely to currency concerns as many of the lenses which have been reduced were initially priced before the dollar started to weaken, but rather a move to help the Canadian retailers equalize what appears to be a more aggressive pricing by the U.S. retailers during a recession? In any event, perhaps 5% isn't a bit deal in our pockets, but lets keep in mind that a 5% difference in EBITA for a large consumer electronic company is significant. Television makers, for instance, rarely make over 10% profit margin. If the $2,000 lens is too expensive, maybe it's time to consider the cheaper lenses which Nikon also offers ;)
